1. Who we are
Travek is a travel planning and discovery app operated by CFF Studio. This Privacy Policy applies when you use the Travek mobile app, public web pages, trip invitation links, support pages, and related services.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Travek, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, profile photo, user ID, sign-in provider identifiers, account status, and authentication metadata.
- Trip and group information: trip names, dates, destinations, provinces/cities, itinerary items, transport items, budgets, expenses, balances, members, invitations, comments, discussions, and activity history.
- Photos and media: photos, videos, captions, comments, likes, uploader information, upload time, and album metadata that you choose to add.
- Place contributions: place names, addresses, categories, descriptions, images, videos, province/city details, review status, and contributor information.
- Location context you choose: selected provinces, cities, wards, places, or coordinates used for planning, discovery, and check-ins. Travek does not require continuous background location tracking.
- Device and app information: app version, platform, language, device type, diagnostics, crash information, IP address, request logs, and security events.
- Notification information: push tokens, device token status, platform type, login time, and delivery metadata.
- Subscription information: entitlement status, product identifiers, transaction or receipt references, renewal and expiration details from Apple, Google Play, or RevenueCat. Travek does not receive full payment card numbers.
- Advertising data: advertising identifiers and ad interaction signals may be processed if ads are enabled in the released build.
3. Permissions
- Camera: to scan QR codes or capture media when you choose to use those features.
- Photos and videos: to select or upload trip album media and place contribution media.
- Photo library / storage: to save QR images or app-generated media when requested.
- Notifications: to send trip invitations, member activity, photo/comment/like updates, admin messages, and service notices when enabled.
You can manage permissions in iOS or Android settings. Some features may not work if you deny a required permission.
4. How we use information
- Provide sign-in, account, profile, and session features.
- Create, manage, sync, and share trips, itineraries, budgets, media, and discussions.
- Display public places, reviews, place contributions, check-ins, and recommendations.
- Process premium access, subscriptions, restores, and entitlement checks.
- Send service notifications, admin notifications, and trip activity updates.
- Improve reliability, safety, moderation, support, analytics, and user experience.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, platform, fraud prevention, and security obligations.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information in these situations:
- Trip members: trip participants may see shared trip content, members, photos, expenses, comments, activity, and itinerary information.
- Public content: approved public place submissions, ratings, reviews, media, and contributor information may be visible publicly.
- Service providers: cloud hosting, authentication, database, storage, push notification, subscription, analytics, crash reporting, moderation, infrastructure, and advertising providers may process information for app functionality.
- Platform providers: Apple, Google, Firebase, Google Cloud, RevenueCat, and Google AdMob may process data according to their own policies.
- Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect users, the app, our rights, or the public.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Third-party services
Travek may use Apple Sign in, App Store services, Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Messaging, Google Cloud, RevenueCat, Google Play, Google AdMob, analytics, crash reporting, and operating system services. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Payments and subscriptions
Premium purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by Travek. We may receive subscription status, entitlement, product ID, transaction ID, renewal, expiration, and receipt-related information from Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat so we can unlock premium features and support restore purchases. Payment method details are handled by Apple or Google.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Travek, maintain accounts, support subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, maintain backups, and operate the service. If you create an account, you can delete your account in the app from Profile > Delete account or contact us for help.
We may retain limited records where required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, backups, subscription records, moderation records, or shared trip collaboration.
9. Your choices and rights
- You can edit or delete certain profile, trip, itinerary, budget, photo, comment, and contribution data in the app.
- You can revoke permissions in iOS or Android settings.
- You can manage subscription cancellation and renewal in Apple App Store or Google Play settings.
- You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us.
10. Children
Travek is not intended for children under 13 or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards such as HTTPS, access controls, and secure token storage where available. No system is completely secure. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own depending on our infrastructure and service providers.
